In class we were given the choice to choose between 3 phrases “its good to be me”, “a new chapter” and “under the over” I decided to chose “a new chapter” because I felt that would better reflect my uni experience so far. I was accepted into university 3 weeks before the course started so I had hardly any time to process things, it seemed to be a very sudden change from living in Glasgow to Dundee, I choose geometric shapes and lines because of my 4 year experience in graphic communication I’m used to drawing in a very technical way. however that is not usually how you are meant to drawn in an arts course so I’m am finding difficulty changing my art style, that’s why I incorporated the natural elements to create a contrast because nothing in nature is perfect.
